As some of you may or may not know last year we raised a little over $7,000 for the ALS association. We created a team in honor of my late grandfather Paul Snyder and George Wolford (our good friend’s father). We created a team to help raise funds to go towards research and programs that can aid in the fight against Lou Gehrig’s. Currently there is no cure for this debilitating disease but we can all do our part to contribute to finding a cure.
ALS as some of you may not is breaking of the neurons that control voluntary muscles. The result is stiff muscles, difficulty swallowing, muscle loss, and eventually loss of breathing. This disease is terminal and diagnosing it is also very difficult.
This year we hope to honor these two men and raise $8,000. Please consider making a contribution to our team this year and helping to stop this disease from taking over one more families lives.
I’d like the memory of me
to be a happy one,
I’d like to leave an afterglow
of smiles when life is done.
I’d like to leave an echo
whispering softly down the ways,
of happy times and laughing
times and bright and sunny days.
I’d like the tears of those
who grieve, to dry before the sun.
Of happy memories that I leave
When life is done
