Come fly with me, let’s fly, let’s fly away…

So here we all are almost 17 years after we all met and reconnecting through our life experiences and putting it in writing.  I am so excited to embark on this adventure and see where we end up.

1. What is the best meal you have ever had, and where was it from?

When we were living in Los Angeles and we were fortunate enough to have a very good friend who worked at Raphael’s in Studio City.  They have the most terrific menu and also rotating seasonal items.  Every single time we ate there we had something amazing however a few dishes really stand out.  The 48 hr. rib steak, the rabbit ragu with homemade pappardelle, and the tastes of fall (which was a desert which took your palette on a tour of the seasons of fall).  With every bite you literally had a mind blowing experience!  This is definetely when we developed a love and a desire to eat good food.

2. If you wrote a song, what would it be about?

I love singing and was in all of our high school musicals.  However if I had to choose something to write about it would probably be a really cheesy kids song about dressing up animals or something equally as absurd.  I truly get a kick out the countless animal videos where they are in costumes.

3. What is your most favorite time of day?

All of my friends will agree that my favorite time of day has to be at night.  I am an extremely heavy sleeper.  I have been know to sleep for 14 hours for no reason, I will also rarely wake up at all during the night.  My husband says that I can fall asleep within seconds, and I will just pass out mid sentence.  What can I say a girl needs her beauty rest!

4. How old would you be if you didn’t know how old you are?

I would say probably 21 or 22, I can still hang.  Well for the most part.

5. What physical or emotional quirk were you born with?

Because I’m Korean I turn red when I have one sip of alcohol.  It’s basically my whole upper body, sometimes arm and face.  There isn’t really much I can do because there’s something in my body that has a hard time breaking down the alcohol. Eh, I deal.

 6. If you could change one thing about yourself, today, what would it be?

I would learn to be more accepting of certain situations.  There are some things that will never change and the sooner you come up with a different approach or accept that and move on the less stress or anxiety will come to your life.

7. If happiness was the national currency, what kind of work would make your rich?

I would love to work as a personal stylist.  Being able to dress someone else for their personality and body type and seeing your looks transform.  You would get to work with amazing clients, make your own schedule and having endless pieces at your fingertips.

8. If you could meet anyone in the world, who would it be?

Probably my birth mother and father.  I no longer have a very strong longing to meet them (I was adopted when I was 4 months old from Seoul, South Korea) or to connect the dotes but more to know who I look like and the culture that I missed out on.

9. What do you get complimented on the most?

I am by no means one of these people that look good every single day and never have a hair out of place but I do get complimented on my style and use of putting different pieces together.  Stay tuned next week for my take on one falls biggest trends!

10. What have been the top 3 most brilliant days of this year?

#1. It had to be our decision to move to Pittsburgh.  We thought long and hard about making the move back to PA and after deciding on Pittsburgh little did we know how great the fit would really be.  We are so happy here and we really see our future in the city it’s a very happy medium between city living and having the convienences of being close to our family and other friends.

#2. The most amazing day was on May 24 when my husband and I got married.  It was such a surreal day for both of us, and we constantly talk about going back.  We were surrounded by all of our families and friends and I was accompanied by all of these lovely ladies.

#3. Last but not least purchasing our first home was certainly something we were milling over for some time but when we saw this house we knew that there is no time like the present, so we jumped on it.  We are slowly starting to grind away at some of our ideas for the house and believe with some handwork we’ll be able to bring those ideas to fruition.

11. What is something you have given a lot of thought to lately?

Going back to school.  I work in higher education so it is constantly on my mind.  I am really trying to mentally prepare myself to put in my application and change my normal routine for the next two years but I know the pay off will be for a lifetime!
